A Design Patent or Industrial Design in Pakistan is registered through following procedure:
- Design application is filed with the IPO Pakistan after completing all the legal requirements
- After the Application has been accepted, the particulars of the application and the representation of the article is registered and published.
- The design is published prior to the registration in the journal and a specified time is granted during which it remains opened for any opposition.
- After this period and if there is no other complexity the design patent is granted.
